Shy Luv - Shock Horror feat Jones
“A provocative and elegant quest for love, as if they were puppets traveling through a surreal landscape.”
In terms of the overall art direction, we set out to create a strong surrealist contrast between the pristine blue sky and the characters which are seen falling through it; creating an iconic dreamlike world in the process. This project provided us with the opportunity to experiment with more traditional VFX techniques alongside new methods such as FX simulation combined with high end photogrammetry scans.
Only 30% of the shots are in-camera, the challenge was to ensure that whilst the forms of the 3D models transform throughout the promo, their essence remained the same. Using the latest photogrammetry scanning equipment we were able to recreate a perfect 3D model of each character.
Most of the complex and dynamic movements which are achieved in the film were created using classic simulation methods but, having created such accurate 3D models, we were able to maintain a sense of hyperrealism.”

OFFF - Title sequence
It all started with an happy accident while playing with some motion capture dancing clips…
We like data visualisation and 3D is a very interesting tool to manipulate rich and complex data with slightly twisted minds like we have.

Azel Phara - Green
We have created this mesmerizing video for emerging Parisian electronic artist Azel Phara's track Green. In this film, nature is transformed and humanity is threatened by mass, ultra-colourful weaponisation. It's a counter-intuitive tour de force of imaginative motion design, exploring a new visual style combining CG animation and motion capture.

Playground - Tittle sequence
“In bif’s magnificent title sequence for Playgrounds Festival 2014, glitch is elevated to craft. A cityscape is stretched and shorn, the subject torn loose, like someone placing a thumb and forefinger on a .jpg and pulling at its seams. Blocks of colour demarcate the space, moving from light to dark. Shapes stream in all directions, planes, trains, and automobiles gliding through vibrant Koosh ball landscapes of fluttering filaments.
As buildings pour into each other, the sequence drifts further away from the intimacy of the urban world. Distance and dimension meld together. The lines are pulled taut and then the title, cold and sober, shuts it down. This surreal journey, meticulously designed, is an exploration of form and technique and a joy to behold”
